Report of the ATDRPG Open Meeting held at the Elmbury Room, Tewkesbury Library Friday 12th September 2014. 7.30pm.
Welcome; Guest Speakers Jane Tooley and Duncan Bennett representing Robert Hichens and attendees were welcomed by Chairman Alistair Cameron.

Group update; The next working garden party is tomorrow. The Station banner was erected on 24th July. Car park alterations are due creating extra spaces by 18.
The next Passenger count is on 3rd October. Data from previous counts have shown numbers still in excess of official figures. Group research is showing a wide range of long distance destinations and an increase in people expecting to get trains from the station.
The 9.24 footfall is well in to the 20s, FGW changed that train unit to higher speed unit to catch a connection at Bristol. Extra trains were hired for the 11.24 from South Western trains in the summer increasing service capacity.
FGW has agreed with DfT not to extend any journey in the new franchise.
The re-doubling of the Swindon Kemble line was completed by Bank Holiday Monday. JS book Past and Present now available.
In June the group met with Amanda Lawson Smith from GCC re A46 congestion, the Highways Authority is concentrating on small scale schemes and pinch points.
JCS is working to carry out traffic modelling to understand MOD site and the effect of other potential developments along the A46 corridor.
Strategic Economic Plan for the Government proposal is duelling to Evesham with soft transport measures and an upgrade to rail station and services.
LTP3 has been reviewed and is likely to include alternative modes to the car.
It was suggested that the A46 1993 plan junction 9a to Pamington be resurrected.
Ken met with Lindon Homes 30th July who are hoping to infill between the Care Home and Aston Cross. They were receptive to the idea to contribute towards return 19.48 London train and very keen on getting residents into using the rail.
31st July saw a meeting with Harris Ethical re NDP – which is part funded by EU.
On Aug 7th the DfT plan to meet with FGW specifically to explore the provision of an increase in service to hourly.
There has been no commercial interest in the MOD site. English Heritage is looking to save the onsite wartime buildings.
First Group now run hourly bus services from Tewkesbury to Worcester.
